Privacy Policy

Vladimir Frolov dba Prime Mover (“Sermon Relay,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) runs the Sermon Relay website and live translation service at sermonrelay.com, including guest phone listening on our listen hosts. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to your church and guests.

Information we collect

Church and team accounts. Email addresses, church names, team roles (admin or interpreter), and invite status when someone joins your church.

Church settings. Glossary terms, sermon context, voice preferences, and speaker profiles your admins configure.

Live audio during services. Audio from the preacher’s microphone is processed in real time for translation. It is not saved to the booth laptop disk. When phone listening is active, short-lived translated audio segments may be held briefly in our cloud so guest phones can play them during the service; they are not kept as a permanent sermon archive and expire after a short time (on the order of minutes).

Guest phone listening. Guests who open a join link or QR code do not create accounts. We may process technical connection data needed to deliver live audio (for example join tokens, connection timestamps, approximate concurrent listener counts, and browser or device signals). We do not require guests to provide a name or email to listen.

Billing. Subscription status, plan, payment references from our payment processor, and usage meters such as included translation hours and phone-listener hours when phone listening is used. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

Support diagnostics. Encrypted technical logs used to troubleshoot translation, phone listening, or connectivity problems. These are for platform support only.

Technical information. Browser type, IP address, timestamps, and cookies needed to keep your team signed in. Guest listen pages use cookies or storage only as needed to run the listen experience, not for advertising.

How we use information

• Run live translation for your church’s services and meetings
• Deliver live translation audio to guest phones when your church uses phone listening
• Sign in your team and keep each church’s data separate
• Bill your subscription and track included translation hours and phone-listener hours
• Send sign-in links and team invitations by email
• Fix problems, prevent abuse, and comply with law

Service providers

We work with companies that process data on our behalf, including providers for:

• Live speech translation
• Subscription billing and card payments
• Website hosting and security
• Transactional email (sign-in links and invites)

They may use your information only to perform these services for us.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep your team signed in. We do not use advertising cookies on Sermon Relay.

How long we keep data

We keep church and account data while your subscription is active. After cancellation, we may retain it for up to 90 days, then delete or anonymize it unless a longer period is required for billing records or law.

Security

We use encrypted connections, scoped access credentials, and encryption for diagnostic logs. Live audio is processed in real time and is not saved to the booth laptop disk. Phone-listen audio is held only ephemerally for delivery during the service, not as a permanent archive. Payments are handled by a certified processor; we do not store full card numbers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or export personal information. Email privacy@sermonrelay.com. We will confirm you are an authorized admin before changing church-held data.

Children

Sermon Relay is for churches and their authorized team members. It is not designed for children under 13 to sign up directly.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version with an updated effective date and, for important changes, notify your church by email or in the app.
